The Laguna JX|8 Jointer is loaded with highly desirable features to make jointing safer and more enjoyable. The JX|8 is available in 2 versions, the JX|8 QuadTec which runs on 110 Volt producing 1.75 HP and the JX|8 ShearTec which runs on 220 Volt producing 3.0 HP.
The JX|8 Quadtec uses a perpendicular inserted cutter that utilizes 5 inserts per cutter face to reduce cutting force while still allowing for smooth sharp facing. The JX|8 ShearTec uses a helical cutter profile with 9 inserts per cutting edge. The extra inserts on the cutting face require higher motor power but can be handle faster board feeds while still producing exceptional surface finish.
