California Proposition 65 Warning

What is Proposition 65?

California's Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings before knowingly exposing anyone to chemicals listed by the State of California as known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

The list currently includes over 900 chemicals. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is unsafe — it simply means that one or more listed chemicals may be present, and California law requires that we notify you.

Which products are affected?

Some of the products we sell may contain or expose customers to one or more Proposition 65-listed chemicals. Out of an abundance of caution, we apply this warning broadly to our product catalog when purchased by customers located in California.

We encourage all California customers to review this notice before making a purchase. If you have specific questions about a particular product, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at sales@vanguardtoolsupply.com
