The 14|12BX Resaw introduces some valuable upgrades from the standard 14|12. First, the 14|12BX offers you the option to upgrade the saw from the standard 1.75hp 110v motor to the 2.5hp 220v motor for improved power when resawing tough materials. Second, the frame of the machine is thicker gauge and one solid piece which drastically improves rigidity for a better finish and lower vibration. Third, the 14|12BX has a built in foot pedal activated disk brake to allow you to quickly and safely stop the blade!
Other than the previously discussed difference the 14|12BX system includes identical features to the standard 14|12 such as quick release tension, micro polished 21″ x 16″ table mounted onto oversized Trunnion paired with Aluminum Hi/Low Fence. The solid cast wheels are electronically, dynamically balanced & fitted with polyurethane one-piece tires designed to run cooler & last longer than conventional tires. The worm gear & pinion is ultra-smooth and engineered to have minimum flex even when fully extended. This is a trade mark of Laguna, just like the famous ceramic Laguna guides. Double windows allows you to check both tension & tracking while the machine is running.
